Here are some ideas of things to do and places to go in the borough of Merton which might appeal to Young Carers.

Deen City Farm                

Deen City Farm is an urban farm with lots of things to do for children and young people. It is free to go in, but there are some charges for activities.

Morden Hall Park

Morden Hall Park is an oasis of green. It also has a natural play area with log stepping-stone courses, swing, zip wire and climbing cargo net.

Merton Abbey Mills

Merton Abbey Mills includes a craft village on the river Wandle and is housed in the former Liberty & Co silk-printing works.

Merton Libraries

Merton Libraries are found across the borough and have services and activities for children and young people.

Mitcham Common

Mitcham Common is a green space that is great to visit at any time of year.

Nature reserves

Merton has designated as many nature reserves – areas recognised as being of importance for nature conservation interest, with open access for the public.

Trim trails – exercise in the park

Merton Council have provided free exercise equipment in Lavender Park in Mitcham and Morden Park.

Wimbledon Windmill museum

Wimbledon Windmill museum is open during the summer and is free to enter.
