Counselling services for young people

Being a Young Carer can be hard. You may be experiencing emotions and feelings that you find difficult.

It might be a good idea to talk to someone.

Here are some services that might help.

Catch-22

Catch-22 is a youth service combining support on issues affecting vulnerable young people ages 11-24, including substance misuse, sexual health, youth justice, family life and emotional wellbeing.

Jigsaw4U

Jigsaw4U offers both pre and post bereavement support

Early support: Helps children, young people and families when a family member has a diagnosis of cancer.

The Grief Support Project at Jigsaw4u provides a unique child-centred approach to bereavement support. It is believed that there is no ‘right way to grieve’, so it is important that children and young people are allowed to grieve their own way in their own time.

The Mix – Essential Support for Under 25s

The Mix takes on any challenge faced by under 25’s – from mental health to money, from homelessness to finding a job, from break-ups to drugs.

Off the Record – Counselling

Off the Record provide confidential counselling available for 11 to 25 year olds.

Spectra – LGBTQI Counselling for Young People  

Spectra is a free service offering up to 12 individual counselling sessions for young people aged between 13 and 18 and their famlilies, who find it difficult to access counselling from non-LGBTQI+ agencies.
