Caring for someone can be extremely difficult, but also incredibly rewarding. We value the contribution Young Carers make to their families and communities, and our fantastic partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation enables us to reward Young Carers for their dedication, hard work and achievements!

Jack Petchey Foundation

Established in 1999 the Jack Petchey Foundation makes grants to programmes and projects across London and Essex that benefit young people aged 11-25.

As members of the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, Carers Support Merton is able to nominate six Young Carers each year to receive the prestigious award. In addition to receiving a framed certificate and badge, winners are awarded £250 to spend on their project! Nominations are made by Young Carers, with the winners selected by members of the Young Carers Committee.
