In light of the latest government announcements we are taking steps to ensure that we can continue to support Carers in Merton despite the restrictions Covid-19 is placing on all of us. Your health and well-being and that of all our staff is paramount.

Changes to our service

We have been closely following government advice and for the safety of everybody we have now cancelled all upcoming events and workshops and our team is working remotely.

We are no longer able to deliver face-to-face services, including home visits, until further notice but you can stay in touch with us by phone or email.

We are open as usual during office hours

We are well prepared and have the resources and tools we need to support you remotely. We will be available as usual during normal office hours, 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday when you will be able to contact us by calling 0208 8646 7515 or email [email protected] If our phones go to voice mail please leave a message and your telephone number and we will return your call. Our team will be able to carry out Carers assessments and provide general advice over the telephone.

We will be posting regular updates, advice and information here and on our Facebook page. In addition, we have set up a new Facebook group for Carers, Carers Support Merton Adult Carers Community which we hope will fill some of the space left by Coffee & Conversation and other social activities. We would encourage you to join this online community to stay in touch with your fellow carers and support each other in the weeks ahead.

There is no doubt that we all face a period of uncertainty and unwelcome isolation, but it is important to remember that we will come through this together and that Carers Support Merton remains here for you whenever you need us.

Carers Trust and Carers UK have published some advice for Carers:
