What's on Other events The 2019 Carers Thames Walk Donate Fundraise Join us on the Carers Trust Thames Walk on 11th May 2019 to help raise the profile of family Carers and help raise money for Carers Support Merton. Caring for a loved one can be a rewarding role, but it can also be isolating, frustrating, and overwhelming. Our mission is to empower unpaid carers to live a fulfilling life. We do this by providing a range of services, such as advice and information, advocacy, benefit checks, workshops, peer support, counselling, and respite from their caring role. What difference will your support make? It will help us to continue to exist in times of diminishing public funds and help us to meet the ever increasing demand for our services. Some Carers find juggling work and their caring responsibilities just too difficult and are often forced to leave work to meet the demands of their caring role. This can push them into financial poverty. Young Carers often live in situations of financial hardship due to parental or sibling disability or ill health. Your donations will help to ensure that all Carers, irrespective of their financial situation can benefit from the services we offer. We will probably all be Carers, or be cared for, at some point in our lives. Please help us to give Carers – young people and adults – the recognition for what they do in our communities every day.
