Yoga is for everyone and every-body type. No previous knowledge is required and all levels are welcome.

Classes commence on Monday 20th January from 3.00pm to 4.00pm

COST: 

  • Classes are FREE to those carers who have not accessed any of our wellbeing programmes ( (Yoga, Tai Chi,  Boxcersise,  Don’t Tone Alone Programmes)
  • Classes are £4.00 per session for carers who have already accessed these classes (please contact Debbie if you are unsure)  (The market value of this class is approximately £8.00 per session)

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.
There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.

The physical benefits of yoga can include:

  • Increased flexibility.
  • Increased muscle strengthand tone.
  • Improved respiration, energyand vitality.
  • Maintaining a balanced metabolism.
  • Weight reduction.
  • Cardio and circulatory health.
  • Improved athletic performance.
  • Protection from injury.

 PLEASE NOTE:-

  • Classes are restricted to 15 students so please book ahead to secure your place.
  • Classes are FREE to those carers who have not accessed any of our wellbeing programmes ( (Yoga, Tai Chi,  Boxcersise,  Don’t Tone Alone Programmes)
  • Classes are £4.00 for carers who have already accessed these classes (please contact Debbie if you are unsure)
  • PRIOR TO YOUR CLASS:-
  • Try not to eat at least 2 hours before your class
  • Bring a small towel or cushion for your head
  • Yoga mats are provided but please do bring your own if able
  • If you are unable to attend a class please advise us asap in order we can offer you place to another carer.
