Yoga with Rachel

Yoga is for everyone and every-body type. No previous knowledge is required and all levels are welcome.

Classes commence on Tuesday 9th June from 3.00pm to 4.00pm via zoom (for information on how to use Zoom please click here)

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.

There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.

The physical benefits of yoga can include:

  • Increased flexibility.
  • Increased muscle strength and tone.
  • Improved respiration, energy and vitality.
  • Maintaining a balanced metabolism.
  • Weight reduction.
  • Cardio and circulatory health.
  • Improved athletic performance.
  • Protection from injury.I


    Information about booking your classes:-
  • BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL AND CAN ONLY BE MADE THROUGH OUR WEBSITE BY 9am ON THE DAY OF YOUR CLASS.
  • Classes are restricted to 20 students so please book ahead to secure your place.
  • Classes are FREE to all carers and their families in the same household who live or look after someone in the London Borough of Merton
  • We will send you an email with the link to the class via Zoom by 12pm on the day of your class - if you have not received this please call us on 0208 646 7515
  • Tickets for each class will be posted weekly on a Tuesday for the following week.
  • If you are unable to attend a class please advise us asap in order we can offer you place to another carer. If you book classes and do not attend without contacting us - further classes will not be available to you

    PRIOR TO YOUR CLASS:-
  • Try not to eat at least 2 hours before your class
  • Have a small towel or cushion on hand for your head
  • Have something to lay on - a yoga mat or towel
