YAC x SOAS

Public Speaking is an essential skill and something that we use in all areas of life including school and work, yet it's also something that so many of us worry about. As with any life skill, the trick is to start small, working on it step by step to build confidence. Public speaking skills are as helpful in the short-term (a school presentation) as in the long-term (helping to prepare for job interviews).

Carers Support Merton, in partnership with SOAS, University of London's Access, Participation and Student Success (APSS) team, are delivering a Public Speaking Workshop to give you the tools to plan and deliver a speech, which can be used to help with any presentations you'll deliver throughout your school and your career.

The workshop will take place on 25th February 2021, from 4:00pm - 6:30pm. There will a 45-minute in the middle of the session, during which time participants will work on an independent task (but can also have a break from the screen!).
