Introduction to identifying & supporting unpaid Carers

This workshop is for health, education and social care professionals working in both the voluntary & public sector to raise awareness of how to identify unpaid Carers, and how they can be best supported.

A significant number of unpaid Carers have been Caring for many years before they identify themselves as ‘a Carer’, and some never do.  Therefore, it is not surprising that health and social care professionals including colleagues in the voluntary sector have the same difficulty.  Failure to identify Carers and not knowing enough about what services are available to them often results in Carers struggling on their own.

This training will enable you to recognise unpaid Carers at the earliest possible time and it will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of the services of the Carers Hub.
